The Farmhouse

Down a winding dirt road and nestled in 26 acres of farmland in the rural countryside of Charlottesville you’ll find this idyllic retreat. The Farmhouse provides you with modern amenities in a rustic setting- enjoy the horseshoe pits by day and a crackling fire pit by night. Sip coffee on the deck while watching the cows graze in the field. Head over to the game shed to watch your favorite sporting event on the TV while challenging your friends and family to epic games of shuffleboard, arcade basketball, foosball, darts, poker and -yes- even a full size skee ball machine! With 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and plenty of indoor and outdoor living space, this is truly an opportunity to stretch out and enjoy some peace and quiet and country air.

First Floor

Enter into an open-concept formal living/dining room with a sitting area and an 8-seat farmhouse dining table. A half bath is conveniently located right off of this space. There is an additional living room with a TV and a spacious fully renovated kitchen that is perfect for cooking and entertaining. Multiple doors lead out to the spacious wrap around deck. There’s plenty of outdoor seating for lounging and dining and a grill for barbeques.

Second Floor

There is a master bedroom with a King bed and an en suite full bath. The full bath has pocket doors so it is accessible from the master and an additional guest room that has 2 Twin beds. These Twins can be converted to safely sleep children as side rails are stored underneath that easily attach to the sides of the bed. There are 2 more guest rooms on this level, one with a King bed and one with a Queen bed. There is a spacious full hallway bath with a tub shower and a bonus covered porch on the front that has 2 rocking chairs.

Game Shed

The game shed is the ultimate ‘hang’ spot for a group. There’s a sofa seating area for watching the large flat screen TV, a poker table for 6, shuffleboard, foosball, pop-a-shot basketball, skee ball, darts, a fridge and a play area for kids. The game shed has a split unit for heating/cooling, making it comfortable year-round.

Exterior Amenities

The porches/deck double your living space in the warmer months! The entry porch is complete with 2 porch swings, an upper level porch houses 2 rocking chairs, a side breakfast nook is covered and seats 4, and the back deck has plenty of space for lounging/dining while you grill out. The yard has 2 sand pits for horseshoes, a wood burning fire pit and a hammock for lounging. The gravel parking area has plenty of space for multiple cars. While the pastures must remain closed off and we ask guests to please respect the fencing boundaries for the animals, they are still fun to look at throughout the day and they often get curious and come up to the fence.

Things to Note:

This is a country retreat- that means you will probably experience some ‘nature’ both inside and outside of the house! While we do pay for exterior pest control to help keep critters out of the house, it’s still a country home that isn’t permanently occupied. So don’t be surprised if you notice some spiders, stink bugs, etc during your stay. Be aware that you may see deer, raccoons, foxes, skunks, and even bears. Exterior motion-activated flood lights will help you see things at night but we also implore you to take the time to gaze at the stars
